[ Suddenly a gremlin is upon him...what is he going to do about this? He probably was actually mildly startled, give him a moment as he lets out a sigh.
He will just deal with it because this is his life, apparently. ]
...Hopefully more answers, wherever they so happen to be hidden.
[ A suffering pause. ]
Perhaps different clothing as well, since we're going to be trapped here for awhile.
[ Anaxagoras sends Ramuda a little withering look for that.
Also for certain reasons we can pretend it's ambiguously a little later, perhaps. ]
...Hmm. Perhaps not in the eyes of most people.
[ ... ]
The night sky is full of stars. Unsurprisingly unrecognizable. But, there is always a little shift in the sky - noticeable to the naked eye.
[ Something like that is not normal. And certainly shouldn't be...though he has no idea if Ramuda has any interest in it. Regardless, he asked, and so he provided. ]
[ Another sigh...he is used to such kind of immunity from some of his students...smh. ]
Night to night.
Monday night looked slightly different and so did this night sky as well.
[ Anaxagoras seems to suddenly settle into thought, since Ramuda does seem at least engaged. Enough to pass on something that had settled into his mind. ]
I saw no indications of it, because perhaps this world simply functions different than others - however, I suspect it may be an illusion of some kind at work.
Regardless, I'll keep observing the night sky. If it keeps changing, it certainly means something.
[ Anaxagoras is out and about - perhaps nearby the central field, standing near the amphitheater.
He manages to spot Ramuda, and then allows a sigh to escape him, recalling how exhausting it was with putting up with a lot of nonsense. Unfortunately, dealing with so many people at once tends to exhaust him...this is a fact. ]
[[ Well, it was pretty engaging, though Anaxagoras himself preferred if they could have avoided all the excitement...not his ideal form of debate, for certain. ]
I assume you mean Kaios. Definitely not, then.
[ He can say that with some judgment. ]
What did you think about the other details? About the people who transformed, that is?
[ ramuda's out in the fields much like he was last week, a piece of paper on his lap, pencil in his hand. he's not sketching though, nor does he seem to hear the sound of approaching footsteps. he's entirely in his head as he stares up at the skies above. ]
[ Uncharacteristic, but not unreasonable - Anaxagoras saw that reaction when he was in bunny form, how much Ramuda cares for Lobelia...
Sitting down for a moment, setting aside his walking stick, and placing his hands in his lap. ]
I believe the same.
[ ...even if he suspects for a second that Lobelia might have, like, subtly requested for himself to be killed for half of a second. Maybe? But it did change trajectory to a reminder, and he himself does not want to see Lobelia dead.
He wants to believe he can be saved...that it's not too late. ]
There must be still ways to reach the heart of those who have lost themselves - yes, reminders in some form; a willingness to still reach out to them, despite everything. And, I suspect if the cure is delivered in time...
[ But it won't be easy. ]
Well, nothing is impossible. However, this isn't going to be a simple matter, and I believe we know it.
week 0, tuesday
Anaxagoras is, perhaps, simply checking out the area, more than anything. ]
...Nothing of interest so far.
[ Yet, there is always so much clothing... ]
no subject
Nothing? What are ya looking for? [ maybe he's actually a long lost overly ambitious staff worker. ]

More answers? Does that mean you've found some already?
[ he asks this while remaining in the clothes carousel, just his head sticking out. ]

A shift? What do you mean, from night to night? Or shorter than that? [ he is apparently, interested. ]

...I wonder what will happen next.

[ his roomie is so hardcore.
ramuda was actually seated for once, a paper and pencil in his lap in the field. ]

[ he's a *normie, this magic stuff is beyond him. ]
no subject
[ But, yeah.
Seven days is more than enough time to understand it's not a fantasy. ]
It's indeed better that everyone continues to realize it's reality we're facing down, however.
no subject
Though you were right about the stars thing. [ so credit, where credit's due. ramuda twirls the pencil he has in his hands between his fingers. ]

Silence fills the air following that. He sees no actions taken, but...considering what they saw, that would be a surprise. ]
I doubt any of us anticipated that.
no subject
Anaxa! You startled me...are professors usually this sneaky?
[ a beat. ]
Haha, you can say I didn't anticipate That or you. [ uppercase absolutely heard. ]
no subject
...Perhaps just myself.
[ A slight dry joke, but Anaxagoras thinks everything sucks so bad it is warranted, it's fine. ]
I didn't mean to surprise you that much. [ ... ] I'm going to hope you don't tend to see things like that all too often back in your world.
no subject
[ he rolls over to his side, propping his head up with his arm. ]
But I have seen a lotta messed up stuff before. I don't think calling it cray-cray even comes close to cutting it.
no subject
[ Anaxagoras doesn't think it's better, mind. But just something he's thought about, is all. ]
...It did take the cake.
[ For a manner of speaking. ]
Disasters were not uncommon in my world. Neither were monsters, for that matter.
But, a scene like that would shake even those experienced.

Week 5 after curfew
Hey Anaxa, got a second?
no subject
I do. What is it?
[ Seems that he is willing to hang back. ]

What did you want to discuss?
no subject
Even if he's transformed [ even he says, the sounds from the conch still echoing in his ears ] I think we can save him. We don't need to kill him.
